Day 58 (sunday) July 1, 2012 Papa's Day!

Got up around 7 today, which seems a little bit late to me. I laid around for a bit and then got up and had some tea and oatmeal. I edited my pictures from yesterday and put them all on my computer and now it's a matter of putting my notes from yesterday on the blog. I got that all updated and I wrote a little more than I had planned on but the pictures were cool. The power has gone off (again, just in our rooms, slightly frustrating) so I spent a little time in the common room charging my computer. I had considered sitting on the couch but I've realized that there are lots of little bugs/small spiders perhaps crawling all over them (which is where I think all the little bumps on my legs and feet are coming from) so I sat on the floor against the wall. Maureen was disappointed to learn that it was just our room that didn't have power because she had laid down to rest for a bit but had a lot of work to do (with the power off, it would be likely off on campus as well). The place that we need to get credits from will not be available until tuesday because today is a holiday yet they will celebrate it tomorrow (sound familiar). I came back to my room and watched more reruns. I need to go to out and get a few things to eat as I am out of pretty much everything. I think I am going to try my hand at pancakes again. I went to pick up a couple things but the supermarket I went to didn't really have much so I got two cans of beans and some vegetable oil for cooking. I came back home, prepared to make pancakes, and decided to just have rice, stew, and beans (the rice cooker is all we have for food since the power is out in our rooms and there is no more gas). A short time later, I decided to make these pancakes, I was up for it and started mixing the stuff and saw little bugs (like weavels) in the flour and I tried to pick them out but there were many more that were clear and white in color making them hard to spot so I had to throw the flour away. No big deal, the soccer match was just about to start. I sat in front of the tube while the poor Italians were embarrassed. I came back to my ultra dark room and took a sleeping pill (the fan doesn't work so I don't have the sound) and laid around until I could get tired.
