Students departing after finishing their final exams.
I didn't sleep a wink, just tossing and turning all night and then some
people were here early to fix the roof leaks and boy, was it noisy.
Ernest mentioned that he would be here by 9 a.m. and was not so I
assumed that he was not coming so I didn't bother getting ready and
had planned on just resting for the day. NOPE, 10:30 rolled around
and sure enough, Ernest knocking at the door ready to go. I was like
a zombie and it took me several minutes to get ready and then it
started to rain. Ernest attempted to boil some water for coffee for
me but by the time he said it was done it was rather lukewarm and we
had to be going (it's the thought that counts). We went to KNUST and
I saw Kwadwo before he left to Accra and then until about 6:30, I
literally sat in front of a computer. I snapped some photos but
nothing too exciting except for a cool little statue in the office.
Ernest is pretty funny and loves having his picture taken, he does
what he thinks is funny but usually it's just standing there. So
there's not much to report on today. Maureen was home when we got
back and she began preparing some dinner (pasta, salad, and some stir
fry mix). Maureen and Ernest took off back towards campus and I am
going to attempt to get some sleep tonight. We are also going to put
up mosquito nets tomorrow and we got the posts today (rather, she
acquired them). Also spent a good portion of the day organizing some
people back at home to help look for one of my favorite pups who had
gone missing and had been gone for a good portion of the week.
Fortunately he was found and all is well...perhaps that's part of why
I couldn't sleep.
