I woke up today feeling a bit empty.
Now, I stuck to my normal routine of food and coffee, but something
was different today. I realized that I was missing the old man (his
birthday and now father's day). Today has completed the relaxed
weekend with much of the same activities as the prior days. More
terrible movies and food when I can. I got out of the room in the
afternoon and Maureen had just woken up from a much needed sleep and
I warmed up some food for lunch. I was planning on maybe going for a
walk or to one of the supermarkets to buy a couple things but it
started raining really hard, then the power went out and my computer
was out of battery so I couldn't write or do anything related to
work. I had set out all of my notes and was ready to go and then
lost motivation when the power came back on (I worked on it though).
I made sure my plans were in place for tomorrow. Still going a few
days without any of the big soccer games being played on tv, it's a
bummer I suppose but i'm making due with other things to occupy my
time and attention. Tomorrow we will visit a hospital aimed at
housing “people with mental problems”, or the psychiatry unit.
Getting ready for some supper now and finishing some writing here. I
ate my oatmeal and was able to get a hold of my dad (I saw his hat)
and spoke to my parents for a bit. As soon as my mom answered the
phone, Zoe came running down the stairs as she heard my voice and got
totally mad when I wasn't there (she still hasn't figured out that
i'm inside the computer, haha). I finished my food and was taking my
dishes to the kitchen and low and behold, a soccer match was on so
i'll get to finish watching the Portugal match. Yet again another
excuse to procrastinate on what I originally intended to do. I
finished the match and came back to my room, watched another terrible
movie with the Rock and went to bed.
